Pests In Paradise
It's time to take a stand and clear out some of the animals and insects who have taken up residence in your yard. While we're all for giving them a place to live, some of these pests can spread diseases, and even harm you and your family if you come in contact with them. Here are a few to keep your eyes open for, and how to tell if they've invaded.Gophers, Voles, & Moles
Do you see circular tunnels and burrow entrances that are about one to one and a half inches in size? this could be a vole hole. You'll probably see it around buildings, driveways, and other structures. If you see fan-shaped mounds in your yard, especially if they are in clusters, you may have gophers. Both of these creatures cause damage to your yard and plant life in your landscape. If you suspect these little animals residing in your yard, it's best to contact a pest control company. You can also do research on ways to remove them on your own through a little research online.Wasps & Bees
Firstly, we love bees. They pollinate all of your lovely plants and they keep everything functioning properly. Sometimes, though, they put their hives in a very inconvenient location, and if you have anyone in your family that's allergic, to either bees or wasps - they'll need to go. With wasps, you can use a spray to rid yourself of them, and then be sure to knock down the nests. If you have bees, do some research first, because you'll want to wait until the appropriate time to remove the hive so that you don't kill the colony.Ticks & Fleas
We have no sympathy for these small pests because they don't really do anything helpful as far as we can tell. Not only do they bite you and your kids, but they get your pets too, spreading terrible diseases. There are many lawn treatments you can get in order to eradicate these pests from your yard, and don't forget to use bug spray for you and tick medicine for your pets to help keep them at bay for good.Hire the Best Landscaping Company at the Lake of the Ozarks
