Turn on your pool pump and make sure it still works, if not, call your local Lake of the Ozarks pool maintenance company.
Your pump has been sitting for many months, it's a good idea to check it ahead of time to make sure it still works. If it doesn't you are giving yourself plenty of time to get it fixed.
Clean your pool deck off and make sure it safe for you and guests to walk on.
Clear your pool deck of anything someone may trip on. Make sure your deck paint looks fresh, no one wants to stub their toe on a paint chip.
Look at your current pool chemical inventory and be sure to get what you don't already have ahead of time, so you are prepared.
You most likely have some pool chemicals left over from last year, so keep track of what you have and purchase the chemicals you need ahead of time.
Make sure the water is at the appropriate level.
The goal is to keep your water levels somewhere in between one third and one half of your pool skimmer. Your pool shouldn't be empty unless you are having work done to it.
Make sure nothing is sitting on top of your pool cover.
