5 Fall Landscaping Mistakes to Avoid

Fall is finally here, and we're saying goodbye to Summer. The mornings are cool and foggy here at the Lake, which is just a reminder that there are many things your landscape still needs before Winter kicks in. When you're looking for a company who can maintain your landscape through every season, you've found the right team. We know what your yard needs to make it beautiful and strong all year long. Check out these things you DON'T want to forget this Fall season.

1. Don't Let Your Leaves Pile Up
There is something nostalgic about fallen leaves on the ground. They are beautiful and scenic - and a lot of work to rake! As beautiful as they are, don't postpone the raking of leaves. They can hide sidewalks and walkways that could be in disrepair, making it hard to walk safely. They can also be slippery if they're wet, making them dangerous.

2. Don't Forget to Fertilize

Just because your lawn isn't growing as quickly through the Fall as it was in the Summer, it still needs care and attention. And Fall is one of the best times to fertilize your lawn to prepare it for Spring. By hiring the best landscape maintenance company at the Lake of the Ozarks, we can keep your lawn fertilized and cut, which can help minimize damage during the colder winter months ahead.

3. Don't Neglect Your Hardscape and Softscape
The two most important parts of your landscapes are your hardscapes and softscapes. Your sidewalks and your lawns. You'll want to focus on both this Fall. Keep your driveways clean by power washing in the fall, and also pay attention to your sidewalks, rocks, mulch and pavers.

4. Don't Forget to Continue to Maintain Your Pool
Just because you won't be using your pool to the extent you did in the summer, it will still need care. Make sure to give us a call for the best pool maintenance at the Lake of the Ozarks. We can guarantee that the chemical levels stay balanced and that fallen debris, leaves and bugs don't get caught in the system where they aren't supposed to be.

5. Don't Forget to Prepare for Spring
Fall is truly one of the best times to get your landscaping taken care of for next Spring. In fact, some bulbs NEED to stay in the ground through the winter. Call us today to make sure your Spring Landscaping at the Lake of the Ozarks is ready to go.

Paradise Landscaping is here to make sure that you don't feel overwhelmed in the process of creating a beautiful paradise. 3 Reasons to Aerate Your Lawn this Fall

Fall is the one of the best times to aerate your lawn to promote healthy root growth and seed germination to set your lawn up for success. So, how do you know if you need to aerate your lawn? Answer these questions: After it rains, do you see standing water in your lawn? Try pushing a pencil into the soil - Is it difficult to penetrate the soil in your lawn? Does your lawn see a lot of activity? If you answered yes to these questions, your lawn could benefit from being aerated. Here are 3 reasons why you should aerate your Lake of the Ozarks lawn:

1. Relieve Compacted Soil
Over time, foot and vehicle traffic mash down the soil in your lawn, compacting all the particles. Even regular mowing takes a toll, and poor drainage and wet conditions make matters even worse. This situation poses a problem to lawns because compacted soil has far fewer air-filled pore spaces. Plants depend on those pore spaces to supply roots with much-needed oxygen. Compacted soil prevents roots from expanding, interferes with water filtration and disrupts nutrient uptake.

2. Regenerate the Root System
Aerating the lawn not only helps break up compacted earth, but encourages deeper root growth, which gives your lawn greater defense against the hot sun and surface moisture evaporation. The roots are the delivery system that supplies the oxygen, water, and nutrients necessary to support the life of the turf. Roots need ample oxygen to survive and grow. Aeration allows you to open up channels and get oxygen directly to the root system. These channels also serve as a funnel for water to reach the roots and create an undisturbed area for the roots to grow.

3. Promote Seed Germination
Because of compacted soil and choked out roots, your lawn may have begun to look pretty bare or patchy this summer. This means you'll likely need to reseed this fall to ensure that your lawn has an opportunity to grow new healthy grass for next year. When trying to overseed into an existing lawn, aeration can help to create a good seedbed for new seed. It gives the seedling uncompromised room to exist and take root. It's much easier than trying to do so in an existing turf canopy.

As you can see, aerating your lawn is essential for maintaining a healthy and beautiful lawn throughout the Fall season. If you're unsure of how to go about this task, or simply don't have time to do it, consider hiring a local lawn care company. At Paradise Landscaping, we're experts in landscaping design and maintenance, and we'd love to take care of your lawn maintenance at the Lake of the Ozarks. Give us a call today at 573-964-6515 to find out what we can do to help keep your lawn looking it's best this Fall!

Check Off Your End of Summer Landscaping Tasks

While the first day of fall isn't officially here until September 22nd, there is just something about the end of summer that makes everything feel like Autumn. The weather has already started to take a cooler turn and some of the leaves have even started changing color here in the Ozarks. And now that we're past the last busy weekend of the summer, Labor Day Weekend, it is generally the sign that your pool is starting to end it's summer career.

If you're not sure how to deal with the upcoming changes that your landscape needs to take on as the weather starts to get cooler - Paradise Landscaping is here help! Our team of landscapers at the Lake of the Ozarks specialize not only in creating beautiful spaces but preserving those spaces through every season. here are a few things to remember as you gear up for fall and starting thinking about the things you need to check off your end of summer task list.

Winterize Your Pool

While we hate to say goodbye to this feature that has brought so much joy throughout the summer months - it's time to start preparing your pool for winter. There can be a lot of steps involved, not to mention possible repairs to your pool from a busy summer season. Proper maintenance is a crucial part of keeping your pool looking and operating its best. We have a ten-point checklist to ensure the life of your investment. Call for details!

Remove Falling Leaves

Having the leaves removed from your landscape is crucial to maintaining a healthy lawn. The leaves can suffocate your grass, create a thriving environment for bacteria, and can create a hazardous area for walking. While they may look pretty at first, they begin to look dull and wet as the fall and winter move on. Raking your entire yard can be quite a chore - as well as time-consuming and backbreaking. Hire our landscape maintenance team at the Lake of the Ozarks to take care of this for you!

Don't Forget Your Turf

Did you know that fall is an excellent time to take care of your turf? Whether you want to lay all new grass seed or fertilize the grass you already have, the combination of cool and warm temperatures during this season make it the perfect time to prep your lawn for spring. This is also a great time to do a complete overhaul on your yard. If you've been waiting for the right time to renovate your landscaping, fall is an excellent time to do this.

Fall Season Lawn Care to Prep Your Landscaping for Spring

With all the excitement of the upcoming Fall season, it's easy to get wrapped up in all that Fall brings: cooler days, football and tailgating, and less work outdoors. Right? Actually... If you’re under the impression that lawn care season is coming to an end and you don't have to worry about lawn maintenance again until spring, think again. Late-season lawn care plays an important role in overall lawn health, and it will minimize the amount of time you'll spend on maintenance come spring. Take a look at some of the things you should be doing in the fall to prep your lawn for the coming Spring.

Fertilizing in Fall

Fertilizing throughout Fall should help your lawn recover from the summer stress, improve color, root structure and density, and help it survive winter so that it comes back stronger the following spring. But fertilizer misuse can cause environmental hazards, and even destroy a lawn. Too much fertilizer in a given area will cause lawn burn and potentially kill your grass. So, if you're not comfortable with your knowledge of how nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium play a role in properly fertilizing your lawn, perhaps it's best to leave it to the professionals.

Seeding the Lawn

Late-Summer to early Fall is an optimal time to sow grass seed because of the cooler temperatures and warm soil conditions. But if you wait too long to seed, it could be too late and the grass won’t establish by the time temperatures drop. During the germination period you'll need to make sure that the soil remains moist, but not drenched, to encourage root growth and prevent it from drying out. Getting an irrigation system installed can be a huge saver of time and money.

Weed control

You have several options for battling weeds, including pulling them out by hand and applying herbicides. There are different weed control solutions to choose from, so if you're not well-seasoned on how each type of herbicide will affect your lawn, proceed with caution. By trying to go this task on your own, you may end up killing everything, including the grass that you've worked so hard to maintain and keep healthy.

Mowing and Leaf Removal

During Fall, lawns focus more energy on root growth than blade growth. So it's important to continue to maintain your lawn regularly throughout the Fall season. Scalping a lawn puts considerable stress on the root system, making it harder for lawns to resist weeds and pests, and survive the winter chill. Leaving a lawn to be covered in leaves can have negative affects to the lawn's pH and overall health. If you don't have the time to continue mowing your lawn this fall, hire a professional landscaping maintenance company at the Lake of the Ozarks to come out and mow for you.

As you can see, these tasks are still essential for maintaining a healthy and beautiful lawn throughout the Fall season. If you’d rather spend your weekends watching football, or simply don’t feel comfortable handling herbicides and fertilizers, consider hiring a local lawn care company. At Paradise Landscaping, we're experts in landscaping design and maintenance, and we'd love to take care of your lawn maintenance at the Lake of the Ozarks. Give us a call today at 573-964-6515 to find out what we can do to help keep your lawn looking it's best this Fall!

Light the Way with Landscape Lighting

As the summer months start to wind down and days begin getting shorter, it may be time to consider lighting up your yard. Here at Paradise Landscaping, we know the value of having the appropriate landscape lighting installed around your home. Not only is the location of your lighting important, but also the type of lighting, the quality of the lighting, and even the purpose. Here are some types of lighting you can have installed around your home, and why it's important.

Wash
Wash lighting throws out a soft, diffused light that is ideal for brightening flat facades, privacy fences, and even garden walls. It can be hard to decide what type of lighting is important in your space, and Paradise Landscaping would love to share our knowledge with you.

Garden
This type of lighting is ideal for gardens and pathways. They sit about 18 to 24 inches off of the ground and cast a beautiful light below them. Unlike many other types of lighting their style and color are boldly on display and can look beautiful in your Lake of the Ozarks landscape.

Downlight
Are you looking for a light that would cast light from a high position? Downlights are often attached to tree trunks or branches from up high to be aimed down at lawns, paths, or even the tree's own foliage to create a moonlit effect. You won't want to skimp on materials with this type of lighting so you don't have to have them repaired frequently.

Bullet
Bullet lights are very versatile, compact fixtures and are often fitted with bulbs that project a narrow beam. This is perfect for areas where you need precise lightings around your landscape, such as house features, tree trunks, and garden structures.

Flood
Flood lighting generally casts a wider beam than bullet lighting, and it is brighter than wash lighting. A collar minimizes the glare that this light could produce, and you'll want to have it installed sparingly to light up tall trees or wide house facades.

Well
On well lights, the bulb is set down inside a waterproof fixture that is buried in the ground. You can get light without seeing the fixture. Well, lights can be used to illuminate the underside of plant foliage or light the base of a facade or wall. They can have fixed bulbs or swiveling bulbs depending on the need.

Let There Be Light
LED Lighting around your landscape and water features is not only beautiful, but it's an important safety feature of your home or business, as well. At Paradise Landscaping, we are a Preferred Vendor of Kichler LED Lighting. From the latest intelligent LED options to traditional incandescent choices, Paradise Landscaping offers Kichler's complete landscape collection and it delivers the right type of landscape lighting at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Where Did All These Mushrooms Come From?

Recently, you may have noticed some new additions to your lawn that might cause a moment of panic. Having mushrooms pop up in your lawn can be a nuisance, an eyesore and, if you have children, potentially dangerous. This week, we'll be explaining why mushrooms may be appearing in your lawn and what can be done about them. But in order to understand why you're seeing these around your yard, you first need to understand what a mushroom is.

What is a Mushroom?
Mushrooms are actually part of a fungus that grows underground, hidden from sight. The good news is that lawn fungi and their mushrooms don’t harm lawns. They’re actually good for your yard, breaking down organic material into nutrients your lawn can use. But that doesn't make them any less of an eye-sore.

So how can you keep them from taking over your lawn? To answer that question, you need to understand that fungi living beneath lawns are usually long-lived organisms that produce mushrooms when conditions are right. The top reasons mushrooms occur are buried organic matter, high moisture and low light. So let's take a look at the different ways we can help address mushrooms based off the possible reasons they're showing up in your lawn.

Control the Level of Moisture
With all the recent rain we've experienced, this is most likely the reason you're seeing these eyesores pop up around your lawn. Periods of prolonged rain can coax mushrooms to form, as can over watering a lawn. Heavily compacted soil and a thick thatch layer can create drainage problems, which provide ideal growing conditions for mushrooms. While you can’t do much about overabundant rainfall, you can address lawn watering practices. It may be a great time to speak to a local professional landscaping company about aerating your lawn or installing an irrigation system to prevent over watering.

Speed Up the Decomposition Process

A fungus grows by breaking down organic matter. In a lawn, that organic material could be buried timber, a stump, or tree or shrub roots that remain underground after plants have been removed. Have a Lake of the Ozarks professional landscaping company apply nitrogen fertilizer to help the lawn grow better and to speed up the decomposition of grass and tree leaf clippings and other organic debris in the lawn.

Get Your Trees and Shrubs Pruned
Consider where you're seeing the majority of these mushrooms at. While not all lawn mushrooms thrive in shady conditions, many do. If a corner of your yard offers high soil moisture combined with low light, mushrooms may appear. Address the moisture issue using one of the techniques listed above. Then take a look at the areas surroundings. Do you have trees or shrubs that are casting some major shade? Perhaps its time to have a professional landscaper at the Lake of the Ozarks come out to do some pruning.

As stated above, these mushrooms you're seeing around your lawn are not a sign for lawn disease, but in fact, are a sign that your lawn is thriving. These beneficial organisms help decompose and recycle organic matter that otherwise would pile up and be an even worse problem. But if you just can't stand the sight of them, you now have some solutions for ridding them. To ensure a healthy lawn, contact the best landscaping company at the Lake of the Ozarks for your fertilization, irrigation, and lawn maintenance needs!

Protect Your Landscaping from Summer Heat Damage

If you think it feels hot outdoors, imagine what your landscaping must think! It's pretty common this time of year to get high temperatures and somewhat scorched landscapes, but there are a few ways we can help you avoid damage. At Paradise Landscaping, we understand how much effort has been put into your paradise, and we don't want to see it wither away in the hot summer sun any more than you do. Thankfully, our landscape maintenance services at the Lake of the Ozarks can help your landscape look great, and keep you from having to risk a heat stroke! Here are a few things that can be done to protect the plants you've been enjoying all season long.

Be Observant

Did you know that you can recognize stress in your plants? Thankfully, that's why you hire the best landscapers at the Lake of the Ozarks, because we can tell if your plants are needing a little TLC or not. If your plants are stressed, or look thirsty, we can tell based on the color and way that the leaves hang. If the blossoms and leaves start to fall to the ground, that is a key indicator that there could be something wrong, and it's most likely traced back to the hot weather we've been experiencing.

Be Strategic About Watering

Can you hear your landscape crying out to you for water? Don't worry, even if it starts to look a little brown, turf grasses are meant to go dormant in high heat, it's the way they protect themselves. Once there's a little bit of rain and cooler weather you'll see them perk up in no time. Also remember that the best time to have your landscape watered is in the morning. If you water in the late afternoon the water will just evaporate and you can risk some plants getting scorched. If you water in the evening your plants will be left with too much water on them over the evening and could be at risk for molds and fungi.

Your Lawn Doesn't Need A Buzz Cut

By keeping your lawn a little longer in the summer, you can help reduce the stress on your turf. "Scalping" a lawn is what happens when you mow off more than one-third of the grass's height and can be a dreadful mistake for your landscaping. It can leave it more prone to invasion by weeds and less able to cope with the hot weather.

Mulch Makes It Better

Mulch isn't just to make your gardens look better, although it does do that! It's also a great way to shade the roots of your plants from getting too much heat and sun! We can mulch your gardens so that all of your beautiful plants can continue to thrive throughout the heat wave, and come back in all of their glory when the weather cools off a bit.

If you're worried about the state of your plants and landscaping, don't hesitate to call us! Plan Ahead for Fall Landscaping

While we're still in the hot Summer season, when it comes to landscaping maintenance at the Lake of the Ozarks, it's important to think about the upcoming season ahead: Fall. There are several things that will need to be done to prep your landscaping this fall for winter and spring that you can begin scheduling for now. Paradise Landscaping offers a list of those items here:

Fertilize Lawn for Next Spring
Fall is a great time to determine pH and nutrients in your soil. Healthy soil plays such an important part in the success of your landscape. Schedule to have a professional landscaper test your soil, aerate and seed your lawn to prepare for Spring, especially the areas that have been overly used throughout the summer and are struggling.

Schedule Routine Leaf Removal
As the season starts to change, the trees in your lawn will begin losing their leaves. Those leaves will undoubtedly cover your lawn. Not only are they an eyesore compared to your well-maintained landscaping, but leaving them unmanaged can have an unhealthy effect on your lawn. If the leaves are covering your lawn and preventing light from getting to the soil, this could kill the grass, and create a breeding ground for fungal diseases and harmful pests. Make sure to schedule routine leaf removal services now to ensure you're covered for this fall.

Pool Maintenance and Winterization
The temperatures will be getting cooler before we know it, meaning you won't be spending as much time cooling off in the pool. Besides needing someone to routinely clean the falling leaves out of your pool, now is a good time to reach out to an expert pool maintenance company at the Lake of the Ozarks to schedule an appointment to close and winterize your pool for the season. By having a professional pool expert winterize your pool instead of doing it yourself, you'll avoid any potential damage to your pool or equipment from incorrectly winterizing it.

Plant Fall Trees, Shrubs, Perennials, and Plants
Some landscaping plants germinate better in the cooler months of fall. Knowing which plants to incorporate into your landscaping in the fall season will keep your lawn looking great throughout even the cool season. The experts at Paradise Landscaping specialize in horticulture, so we can help you choose visually pleasing plants to put into your landscaping that will thrive this fall.

Winterize the Irrigation System
While it's still important to continue to water your lawn through the fall, you'll likely not need to do so nearly as often. If you have an irrigation system, this makes changing your watering schedule much easier. It also means that you need to contact your landscaping company at the Lake of the Ozarks to determine when they need to come out to winterize your irrigation system. Not having your irrigation system properly winterized can cause some very expensive maintenance issues when the temperatures drop to a freezing point.

By scheduling these tasks now with the best landscaping company at the Lake of the Ozarks, you'll guarantee a spot in our books for the busy upcoming fall season. Remember that maintaining your landscaping even in the fall and winter months is essential to keep your lawn looking it's best all year round. So don't wait until the last minute to get these needed upcoming appointments scheduled - call Paradise Landscaping at 573-964-6515 today!

Is Doing Your Own Lawn Maintenance Really Worth It?

Sure, you could forego the luxuries of having a professional landscaping company at the Lake of the Ozarks maintain your lawn for you just to try to save a few bucks. But are you really saving money by doing it yourself? Think about it this way: studies have found that an average person can spend roughly 3.5 years of their lifetime performing lawn care. Now, that may not seem like much, but in the grand scheme of things, that's a lot of time spent on your landscaping when you could be using that time elsewhere. So let's take a look at some of the reasons why doing your own lawn maintenance ISN'T worth the hassle.

Hiring a Professional Saves Money
Now, before you argue that logic, let's take a look at some numbers. On average, a riding lawn mower can cost anywhere from $900 and up. If you have a small yard, you may be able to get away with a push mower - which starts roughly around $200 and goes up. Then you have your detail equipment: a blower- $150, and a weed eater - $100. The total investment adds up, and on top of that, these costs do not include regular maintenance, repairs, and/or gas.

Imagine What You Could Be Using That Time For
Consider this, the average person spends roughly 3.5 years mowing the lawn. That's time you'll miss out on doing things you enjoy doing. You could be spending quality time with family, or using that time to learn a new skill, or even enjoying one of the hobbies you rarely have time for. Additionally, how much money is your time worth?

Avoid Lawn Care Related Injuries
Now, you're probably thinking "how dangerous can mowing the lawn be?" Well, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, more than 80,000 people go to the emergency room each year due to lawn mower injuries. Lawn equipment—including mowers, weed eaters, hedge clippers, and mulchers—are some of the most dangerous items in the household. Also, flammable gas, harmful fumes, and sharp blades moving at over 200 mph, all bring added dangers to this chore. Additionally, being in the sun without protection can have long lasting negative impact on the skin, including cancer and skin disease.

Paradise Landscaping is Experienced in Lawn Care
We have years of experience and have an eye for making lawns look great each and every time. Along with weekly mowing, trimming, and blowing off all hard surfaces, we offer a variety of services including turf treatments, tree & shrub fertilization, pruning maintenance, leaf collection & disposal, mulching, power washing, and home check up services. We know that we can create a much better landscape design for you if we can talk to you and get your ideas of what you want. You know your yard better than anyone, and you know how you want to enjoy your yard. Our designer, Rick Harris, has been working in the field of horticulture and landscape design for 46 years, and he knows what plants work well in what areas, how large they will get, and how they will influence your yard. So when you want a specific plant included in your design, he will be able to tell you how it will grow, and where would be the best place to put it!

Make the Sketch

With all of Rick's experience, he knows how to use landscape design programs, and visual software, but he still believes that the time tested custom and drawn designs are the best. His beautiful hand drawn designs show a personality and feel that the computerized designs do not. Once we have talked with you to create an idea of what you would like, and what we think would work well in your yard, Rick will create a beautiful sketch to show you how we can transform your yard.

Pet Proof your Yard with Paradise Landscaping

At Paradise Landscaping, we create custom landscapes at the Lake of the Ozarks so that you have a perfect paradise to love and enjoy. We realize that a huge part of your family could be cute little Fido and that sometimes, your furry friend can be hard on your lawn. We love him as much as you do, and that's why we're providing you with some great tips to keep your lawn looking fresh and safe for your pet at the same time.

LANDSCAPES VS THE DIGGER
Does your furry friend just LOVE to get out and tear through the dirt looking for animals, insects, or buried toys? We don't blame them! This is a wonderful pastime that dogs are known for, but if you want a beautiful landscape, you'll have to find ways to convince your pet that they would rather dig somewhere else. Some pet owners have found that a large dirt or sandbox specifically for digging enjoyment has helped ease the need for your dog to dig in your flower bed. You can also opt for larger, heavier duty metal landscape edging. This may help keep the mulch in the garden bed, and not your landscape.

DOGSCAPING YOUR YARD
This is an actual term, and it implies exactly what you think it does - creating a space that is safe for your dog. You don't have to do any major renovations or attach a huge price tag to creating this safe space, and with a little help from your favorite Lake of the Ozarks Landscapers, your space will be safe in no time.

PROTECTING THE GRASS
Your grass may be at risk when you have a dog, especially if you have a dog run where they continually apply wear and tear to a very specific area in your yard. You'll want a hearty grass that can stand up to the constant running back and forth. Pet urine can also be a factor when your landscape starts looking "ruff." The highly concentrated levels of nitrogen and soluble salts can have a burn effect on lawns. You can keep this to a minimum by washing or spraying the area down with water to help dilute the concentration. If your landscape is showing signs of wear and tear, you can always call Paradise Landscaping. We'll come out and take a look at your landscape and help you work towards creating a green space with fewer patches.

PLANTING PET-SAFE PLANTS
While dogs and cats primarily eat meat, there are occasions where they will eat grass and other plants in your yard. When this happens, you'll want to make sure that the plants you have are not harmful to your pet. You will also want to let us know that you have pets when we start to landscape your yard so that there won't be any chance of us adding something that would be dangerous for them. Here are a few plants and mulches that you want to avoid when you have pets.
  • Daffodil
  • Lily
  • Morning Glory
  • Oleander
  • Sago Palm
  • Cocoa Mulch
  • Pine, Cedar & Hemlock Mulch
  • Rubber Mulch

Irrigation Systems are Home Improvements Worth Having!

Does your Lake of the Ozarks landscaping seem to be lacking something? If you're constantly battling patchiness or really thick spots in your lawn, it may be because of over or under watering. Many residential and commercial property owners run into this problem when trying to keep their grass and landscape green and fresh. Paradise Landscaping has a solution for not wasting water watering sidewalks or missing patches of green turf. Irrigation systems are more efficient than any other form of watering. Take a look at the benefits of installing an irrigation system:

Conserves Time and Water

Watering your landscaping manually can be very time-consuming. Having an irrigation installed will save you that time to do the things you'd rather be doing, like spending time with your family. Irrigation systems typically have timers that you can set to water when you want that will automatically turn off so you don't have to worry about monitoring it closely or wasting water. An irrigation system will put the exact amount of water, in the exact spots, exactly when it is needed.

Preserves Soil Structure and Nutrients

Watering with a hose can cause over watering to your landscaping. As a result, the runoff water can leach nutrients from the soil, leaving your lawn lacking the nutrients it needs to ensure healthy growth. The pressure from water coming from a water hose can also cause the soil to become compacted. This can cause plant roots to suffocate and die. By using an irrigation system to water your landscape, smaller drops of water reach the soil without compacting or washing out nutrients from the soil.

Prevents Disease and Weeds

With a strategically planned out drip irrigation system, you can prevent weed seeds from germinating. If you're watering with a hose it's more difficult to control what you're watering, which means you may be unintentionally watering weeds. With a drip irrigation system you're only watering the plants directly rather than sprinkling the entire area, so you don't have to do so much weeding. This can also prevent leaf disease caused by water droplets on the foliage. Because the water does not strike the leaves or flowers, blight diseases have no chance of taking over.

As you can see an irrigation system is a home improvement project worth considering. Not only will it help maintain a healthy beautiful landscape which you can enjoy with your friends and family, but it’s the most convenient and efficient way to ensure your landscape gets the water it needs without over or under watering. So contact Paradise Landscaping, the best landscaping company at the Lake of the Ozarks, to get your landscaping and irrigation design plans started!
